Welcome to Reception
Update: Please follow our home learning link for daily updates on how to support your child at home during school closure.
We hope you have had a chance to start exploring the home learning packs with your child. Over the coming weeks, we will add further activities and links to this webpage for you to share with your child.
It is really important your child continues to read lots at home. We have sent the children home with extra books but we understand these won't last long. Please read books you may have at home and check out the reading area of our class page. We will provide links to suitable websites that have reading material for the children.
We will also provide a list of ideas, games, weblinks for activities to support both yourselves and your children's physical and mental wellbeing.
Thank you for your support. Why not have a go at some of the lovely activities below to keep little hands busy!

Welcome to the Reception page. This page will help you find out about all the different types of learning the children in Boot and Bell class do. We will be regularly updating the page with photographs of our indoor and outdoor learning so keep checking back to see our achievements and all the exciting and interesting things we do in school.
We have a fantastic team supporting children with their learning. The team consists of: Mrs Adams, our Assistant Head Teacher for Phase 1, three teachers; Mrs Kershaw and Mrs Evans (Boot Class Teachers) and Miss Murphy (Bell Class Teacher) as well as three experienced teaching assistants: Mrs Agar (Mondays) Mrs Kane (Tuesday-Friday) and Miss Casson (Monday-Friday). We also have our Care Assistants, Mrs Offor, Mrs Sparks and Mrs Kellie supporting children. We all work together to ensure that children are accurately assessed, appropriate provision is put in place and that most importantly learning is always fun.
At Victoria Primary school we recognise the importance of providing a curriculum which matches the needs and interests of our pupils. We provide our youngest children with a great start to their education; where the focus is on developing their personal and social skills to ensure they are settled and confident learners. To support children with their learning we focus on developing independence, resilience and perseverance through a balance of directed learning activities and child initiated learning.
