1st December 2021 (Whole School - 01/12/2021)

As you would expect, with tighter covid restrictions, we have had to change a few plans for the coming weeks. Here is our updated plan of action for December!

Christmas Cards
Our School Christmas Post is now operating! If your child is posting cards to children in other classes, please remember to put the name AND class of the child it is going to on the envelope. Also, remember that names have capital letters – all children learn that when they are aged 4!

Wednesday 8th December – Children’s Christmas Dinner Day
Reminder - If you do NOT want your child to have school Christmas Dinner, please let Paula in the school office know or reply to this email.

Wednesday 8th December and Thursday 9th December – Parents’ Evening Appointment
Look out for a paper letter coming home today to book your appointment. Appointments will be socially distanced in classrooms, one family at a time.

Thursday 9th December – Children’s Flu Vaccine Nose Spray
A reminder that you can book your child’s vaccine to be done in school at: https://www.nottinghamshireimmunisations.co.uk/Forms/Flu

Thursday 9th December – Christingle Event
This event is cancelled for covid safety reasons

Friday 10th December – Christmas Jumper Day
Get your Christmas non-uniform on!
Officially this is a national charity event for Save the Children. If you’d like to send a donation, we’ll be happy to pass this on for you.

Monday 13th December – Nursery and Reception Nativity
This event will now be a shorter performance. Mrs Walker, Miss Murphy and Miss Musson’s classes will perform at 0915 on the main playground (weather permitting).

Tuesday 14th December – Nursery and Reception Story Telling Event
A reminder that Mrs Walker, Miss Murphy and Miss Musson’s classes have a special Christmas storytelling visitor booked in!

Wednesday 15th December – Years 1 and 2 Christmas Show
This event will now be a shorter performance. Mr Gritt, Miss Byrne, Miss Mullins and Mrs Russell’s classes will perform at 0915 on our main playground (weather permitting). No tickets required.

Wednesday 15th December – Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 Christmas Singing Concert
This event will no longer be held at Nottingham Emmanuel School. Join us for our older children’s singing performance on the playground starting at 2.45pm.

Friday 17th December – Cadbury Class Theatre Trip
This event is going ahead as planned.

Friday 17th December – last day
School closes at 3.15pm for the Christmas holiday. We return for the new year on January 10th.
