Packed lunches and crazy behaviour…!
There’s nothing wrong with a treat (every so often!) but last week we spotted a family size bag of crisps, a 200g bar of chocolate, half a family pack of mini muffins and many many drinks packed with sugar.
These send children’s behaviour ‘off the scale’ as they get a massive sugar rush as they go out onto the playground, then a massive crash as they go back into class for their afternoon learning.
Sandwiches, rice or pasta are good carbs to get a child through the day.
Fruit, vegetables, yoghurts and cheese are also good lunch box fillers for school.
We’re going to be keeping a closer eye on what’s going into children’s lunch boxes and won’t be allowing them to eat or drink anything that isn’t going to help them behave well.
