Writing

This half term, the children had lots of opportunities to apply knowledge from Topic learning to their writing. See some examples below:

1. Newspaper Reports - The Nottingham Blitz

Following on from our Topic for the beginning of term, the children became war correspondents, imagining themselves reporting on the devastation caused by the Nottingham Blitz.

2. Letters - Plastic Pollution

The children wrote a persuasive, formal letter to the government regarding the detrimental effect that plastic pollution is having on our environment. Check out Naoroji's display alongside some excellent work.

3. Bangladesh

After studying climate change and physical geography in Bangladesh, the children had the opportunity to write and record a news report. Bridgetower class did this from home on Seesaw and the other classes got to experiment with a green screen! Check out some of the videos below:

Art - Sean Yoro

This half-term's art was based on the work by artist Sean Yoro. The children considered the theme of climate change and incorporated it into their work. There are lots of great examples on the display below:

Science

In Cuffay class, the children applied their creative skills to Science and created fossils and fossilised insects in amber!
