Welcome to Year 5 - Bowden
Hello! My name is Miss White and welcome to our class page. Our class is named after Sir Frank Bowden who founded the Nottingham based Raleigh Bicycle Company.
News
- This term's newsletter can be found on the side panel (right) under downloads.
- Your child should have a list of writing activities to be completed between now and the end of the Summer term. I encourage every child to choose just one activity per week. I look forward to reading them!
Please make sure that PE kits are in school every day. This is so that when there are changes to the timetable, children do not miss out. This term, PE is timetabled for a Thursday afternoon.
We had so much fun at Think Tank!

Reading and times tables
Reading books and diaries should be in school every day. Mrs Kearney will be checking to make sure you are reading at least 3 times a week or preferably more!
Children are expected to keep practising their times tables at home up to 12 weekly. Your child should know and be able to use the commutative method. E.g. 2x4=8 in the 4x table and 4x2=8 in the 4x table.
Homework Heroes!
Well done to the following children who have completed the following amounts of homework over the course of the Autumn term and the first half of Spring. Prizes to follow...
