Coronavirus – School Closures
Our school (and all other schools) follow the U.K. Government’s instructions. School will stay open until the government tells us to close. The government will make the decision to close schools when hospitals start to reach their limits. This will make sure that as many people as possible can access treatment when needed. A shut-down will only happen to make sure that hospitals are not overwhelmed. We will tell you as soon as we hear of any change to the current situation.
Coronavirus - Symptoms
The NHS says that people should stay at home for 7 days if they have either:
- a high temperature – they feel hot to touch on their chest or back
- a new, continuous cough – this means they have started coughing repeatedly
If anyone has one of these symptoms:
- Stay at home for seven days
- Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
- You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.
- Testing for coronavirus is not needed if you're staying at home.
If your child has no symptoms, they should come to school as normal.
