Consultation to reduce admissions number

Victoria Primary would like your opinions on reducing our intake from 60 to 45 from 2020. (Whole School - 30/10/2018)

Victoria Primary School is consulting on reducing the Planned Admissions Number in the Reception Year from 60 to 45.

The changes are proposed following a three year trend of Reception admission numbers being 40% below capacity and Local Authority projections for the period 2019 – 2022 standing at 50% below capacity.

Proposed changes to current arrangements are:
The published admission number for Reception Year is 45. In Years 1 to 6, the admissions number is 45. The academy may, however, admit up to 60 pupils in cohorts where the published admission number was 60 for a cohort in Reception year AND where the roll has been maintained in the cohort.
