  • This term's newsletter can be found on the side panel (right) under downloads.

Please make sure that PE kits are in school every day. This is so that when there are changes to the timetable, children do not miss out. This term our sports coach Gemma will be visiting on a Thursday afternoon to teach us tag rugby!

Upcoming Trip: Think Tank Wednesday 21st March.

As stated on the newsletter sent out at the start of the year, we have an incredibly exciting trip coming up in March. We are going to Think Tank in Birmingham where the children will explore many galleries and there are two experiences for the children to take part in; ‘Space Mission’ & ‘Cauldron Chemistry’. Please remember that payment will be required prior to the trip and whilst payments are optional, it is easy to understand that without money, trips and experiences just will not happen. The cost of this trip (including coach travel) is £25. A letter was sent out on Monday 12th February for parents/carers to sign alongside the payment.

Thank you for your continued support.

Reading books and diaries should be in school every day. I will check your child's reading diary every Friday to make sure they are reading at home.

Image result for times tables

Children are expected to keep practising their times tables at home up to 12. Your child should know and be able to use the commutative method. E.g. 2x4=8 in the 4x table and 4x2=8 in the 4x table.

Next week

Have a good half term everyone!

Take a look at some of our work so far this year!

These are our Christmas decorations for the school tree!

We had an exciting visit to NUAST on Wednesday 22nd November to learn about Engineering. Here is Ruby's light up Christmas tree.

Fuad and Summer created their own Viking inspired runestones.

Max created his own poster in RE about poverty.

Lydia created her own art work inspired by the work of Chris Offili, who uses a variety of materials to create different layers.

Nadia's poster is all about WWF!

Aqsa tells us why she thinks Muhammad Ali is inspirational.

Jakub's spooktacular poem!

Our class books

We discuss these books in more detail during our guided reading time. Children will answer questions based on different reading skills (VIPERS).
